How To Get New Ration Card For A Family Member (FORM 4)

If you want a new digital ration card for a member of your family in West Bengal, you need to fill out Form 4.

Please note that Form 4 is for those whose family has at least one member who already has a digital ration card. You can add the remaining members to his/her name.

In case none of the members of your family has a digital ration card, you need to fill out FORM 3.

To get a new ration card for your family member online,

Step 1: Go to the Official Ration Card website

First, go to the official website of the West Bengal Food Department at food.wb.gov.in.
Once the website opens, click on the ‘Citizen’s Home’ option.
Next, click on the ‘Ration Card Related Corner’ option.
Next, click on the ‘Services Requiring Office Approval’ option.
Next, click on the ‘Apply Online’ option.

To use the digital ration card facility of the West Bengal government, first, you need to link your Aadhaar and mobile number with your ration card.

Step 2: Log in to the WB Digital Ration card portal

Now, enter your Aadhaar number linked with the ration card number of any member of your family.
Next, tick the checkbox and click on the “Send OTP” button.
An OTP will be sent to your Aadhaar registered mobile number.
Next, enter the OTP in the specified field and click on the “Submit OTP” button.
Your ration card details will be displayed on the screen.
Verify the details and confirm by selecting the ‘Yes’ option.

Step 3: Open up FORM 4

Now, scroll down to the form section.
Next, click the “Click Here” below the “Form 4” section.
The details of your current family members will be displayed. Click on the “Next” button.

Step 4: Enter member details

Next, select “Aadhaar” or “Birth Certificate” from the options.
Next, enter the number of the option selected of the member whom you want to add.
Next, click on the “Verify” button.
An OTP will be sent to your Aadhaar registered mobile number.
Next, enter the OTP in the specified field and click on the “Submit OTP” button.
Next, enter the other required details and click on the “Confirm” button.

Step 4: Enter address and FPS details

Next, click on the “I Declare” checkbox and click on the “Next” button.
Next, click on the “Yes” button.
Next, enter your address and click on the “Next” button.
Next, select the appropriate FPS from the drop down menu.
Next, click on the “Next” button.

Step 5: Submit FORM 4

Next, upload the required documents in the appropriate field.
Next, click on the ‘Submit Document’ button.
Once you do that you will get a success notice showing that your form is successfully submitted.

Now you can log in to the West Bengal digital ration card portal at any time and check the status of your application.
