The West Bengal Government has made it easier for you to transfer the ration card to a new family or from your in-law’s family to your family online.

To do this online, you need to fill out FORM – 14.

Steps to apply for transfer of Ration card to a new family online

To apply for a transfer of a Ration card to a new family in West Bengal,

Step 1: Go to the Official WB Ration Card website

1. First, go to the official website of the West Bengal Food Department at food.wb.gov.in.
2. Once the website opens, click on the “Citizen’s Home” option.
3. Next, click on the “Ration Card Related Corner” option.
4. Next, click on the “Services Requiring Office Approval” option.
5. Next, click on the “Apply Online” option.
6. The Aadhaar authentication page will open.

To use the digital ration card facility of the West Bengal government, first, you need to link your Aadhaar and mobile number with your ration card.

Step 2: Log in to the Ration card portal

1. Now, enter your Aadhaar number linked with the ration card number that you want to transfer.
2. Next, tick the checkbox and click on the “Send OTP” button.
3. An OTP will be sent to your Aadhaar registered mobile number.
4. Next, enter the OTP in the specified field and click on the “Submit OTP” button.
5. Your ration card details will be displayed on the screen.
6. Verify the details and confirm by selecting the ‘Yes’ option.
7. Next, click on the “Next” button.

Step 3: Select the ration card to transfer

1. Now, on the form section and click on the “Click Here” option below Form 14.
2. The “Application Entry” page will open. Click on the “Next” button.
3. A page with all the names of your family members will appear in front of you. Click on the “Next” button.
4. Next, select the check box beside the name of the person you want to transfer to a new family.
5. Next, click on the “Select Beneficiery” option.

Step 3: Fill up FORM 14

1. Next, select the reason of transfer from the “Please Select Reason” dropdown.
2. Next, click on the “Next” button.
3. Next, enter the ration card number of a member of the family to which you want to transfer the ration card.
4. The ration card details of the number entered will be displayed.
5. Next, tick the checkbox and click on the “Verify Aadhaar” button.
6. An OTP will be sent to the Aadhaar registered mobile number of the person whose number you have entered.
7. Next, enter the OTP in the specified field and click on the “Submit OTP” button.

Step 4: Submit FORM 14

1. Name of the family members of the family where the applicant wants to transfer her ration card to will appear on the screen.
2. Next, click on the ‘Final Submit’ button.
3. Once you do that you will get a success notice showing that your form is successfully submitted.

Now you can log in to the West Bengal digital ration card portal at any time and check the status of your application.
